Review: I usually am disappointed with most things I buy, but I am extremely happy with the Oreck XL2600. I bought it using the 10 month payment plan (no interest). So far that is fine. The Oreck is so light and easy to use. It carrys no onboard attachment so it stays light. It glides accross the carpet and just does an excellent job. The cheaper model (2200?) does not have the headlight nor D shaped handle, both of which are really great, so I recommend them, especially the handle with switch. It goes a little harder across our older sor-of-a-short-shag carpet but really glides on the plush carpet. It really does OK on bare floors but I prefer to use the hand vac for that. The hand vac. that comes with it is really pretty lame, but seems to do OK. I hope other will be as tickled with the Oreck as me.
Pluses: Very Lightweight and easy to use. Great Handle. On/Off switch on Handle. Glides across carpets. Minuses: Nothing so far (two months). The smaller handheld vac that comes with it is just barely adequate.
Suggestions: Suggestions: After two months I have no improvements yet that I can mention.
