Review: I've used the lower line Maytag washer consistently for 10 years now, and have absolutely no real complaints about the machine...it sounds (mechanically that is) and cleans like it did as a brand new machine. It has only the basic features, unlike the machine that it replaced, so that initially took getting used to-however, I've found that the basic three temps and two water levels are truly sufficient for your basic everyday laundering needs. Both my mother and my mother in law have gone through one washing machine and are contemplating purchasing another due to mechanical problems with their machines, while mine is still just chugging along beautifully. I'd definitely pay the extra few dollars initially to own a dependable worry free appliance like my Maytag washer!
Pluses: I should have spent the extra on the extra large capacity. Minuses: I should have spent the extra on the extra large capacity.
